Heaven Hemp Website Update 2009

Heaven Hemp came to Photon Web Design requiring an updated look for their 2009 website, including a wordpress-style blogging system and gallery to show to wholesalers. The brief was to create a fresh, new, modern looking website that also reflected aspects of Nepal's heritage and culture.

Brick reds were used in the link sections as a reference to the colour of typical huts and buildings in Kathmandu, while greens and browns reflect the earthen and natural emphasis of their business. A pale background allowed the site to appear new and up to date, while the photoshop header included the 'Lord Shiva' as a reference to Nepal's ancient culture.

The main technology used in this website is the gallery component, which has a lightbox-style pop-out effect when the thumbnails are clicked, and an overlay effect when hovering over the thumbnail to provide quick access to the product numbers and information.
